Frequently Asked Questions
General
If you’re investing hundreds of thousands of dollars—or your career savings—into a restaurant, you shouldn’t make the decision based on passion, intuition, or a business plan built around optimistic assumptions. Our process combines market validation, financial modeling, and a lender-ready business plan to help you understand the opportunity, risks, and financial requirements before you commit your capital.
We can’t guarantee the success of any restaurant, but we can give you a much clearer picture of its market potential and financial feasibility. We analyze your target market, competitors, pricing, sales potential, startup costs, labor, food costs, break-even point, cash flow, and debt service. If the numbers don't support the concept, we'll tell you.
Your plan includes market research and validation, competitive analysis, startup cost estimates, realistic sales forecasts, labor and operating cost assumptions, five-year financial projections, break-even analysis, balance sheet, monthly cash flow projections, and debt service coverage analysis—along with the written business plan required to present your concept to lenders.
Yes. The business plan and financial projections are structured to provide the information lenders typically need to evaluate a restaurant startup, including startup costs, use of funds, projected revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, and ability to service debt. Your lender may have additional requirements, so we recommend confirming their specific documentation requirements before submitting your application.
That's valuable information. Our goal isn't to make your restaurant idea look good on paper—it's to help you make an informed investment decision. If the research or financial model identifies significant challenges, we'll show you where the problems are and, where appropriate, identify assumptions or strategies that could improve the concept. Sometimes the smartest outcome of a feasibility study is knowing when not to invest.
Because we don't just write business plans—we evaluate restaurant investments. Our approach combines real-world restaurant ownership experience with market research, financial modeling, and industry benchmarks to determine whether your concept is financially feasible before you put your capital at risk. We don't start with the assumption that your idea will work and build a plan around it. We start with the data, test the assumptions, and tell you what the numbers actually say.
